(sham-bair-tan) One of the top Grand Cru red wine vineyards of Burgundy, and one of my personal favorites. It is in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, which in the tradition of Burgundy, appended the name of this famous vineyard to its own.

Chambertin [shahm-behr-TAN] is a world-famous, Grand Cru vineyard located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits district of France's Burgundy region.
