Definitions for "Clock Speed"
The operation of the microprocessor is synchronized by a timing pattern generated by the processor itself. This timing pattern is referred to as the clock speed of the processor. The clock speed is measured in megahertz (MHz).
Also known as clock rate. The internal speed fo a computer processor, normally expressed in MHz. The faster the clock speed, the faster the computer will perform a specifc operation, assuming the other components in the system, such as disk drives, can keep up with the increased speed.
Determines operating speed and screen refresh rate; measured in megahertz (MHz).
Keywords:  versa, vice, logic, rise, fall
The switching frequency of the clock circuit in digital logic. It is principally determined by the rise/fall time required for the digital devices used in a circuit to change logic state (from 0 to 1 or vice versa).
The rate at which a computer's internal system clock operates. The clock is used to synchronize operations between the components within the clock.
