Special Educational Needs. needs-inhibiting learning requiring particular support that can lead to a Statement of SEN that states the needs and how they will best be met

Special Educational Needs. Pupils with learning difficulties for which special education provision has to be made. May include children with physical disabilities or emotional and behavioural disorders

Special Education Needs - Learning difficulties for which a child needs special education help. May include children with physical disabilities or emotional and behavioural disorders.

Special Educational Needs. Children with special educational needs  have significantly greater difficulty in learning than most children of the same age or have a disability. These children may need extra or different help from that given to other children of the same age.

This denotes any child that has been identified as having some form of educational need, either as a result of learning difficulty or if they are deemed as particularly bright or gifted. These children receive additional support, either from within the school or from outside agencies.
