Provides life insurance coverage for any child, stepchild or legally adopted child of the insured, subject to certain age requirements. The premium is usually a flat amount and provides coverage for any number of children.

Rider which provides insurance to the insured's child(ren).

A policy enhancement that provides a benefit upon the death of an insured's child. Can be very cost effective. See Rider.

An optional policy provision that expands the benefits to include extra coverage on the lives of the primary insured's children. Typically, the cost of the child rider remains the same regardless the number of children and covers additional children born after the policy is issued.
