The Day of the Dead (DÃa de los Muertos, DÃa de los Difuntos or DÃa de Muertos in Spanish) is a holiday celebrated in many parts of the world, typically on November 1 (All Saints' Day) and November 2 (All Souls' Day).
Day of the Dead (1985) is a horror film by director George A. Romero, and the third of four movies beginning with Night of the Living Dead, and continued in Dawn of the Dead, and Land of the Dead. Steve Miner is directing a remake which is set to be out in 2007, and Romero himself is also in the midst of completing a fifth film in the series, Diary of the Dead, which is due to be released in 2007.
"Day of the Dead" is an episode from the fifth season of the science fiction television series Babylon 5. It is particularly notable for being written by author Neil Gaiman, and the fact that it was not written by J. Michael Straczynski, who wrote nearly every other episode of the series.
Day of the Dead will be a remake of George A. Romero's classic zombie film of the same name, the third in the the Living Dead series. Steve Miner has signed on to direct while Jeffrey Reddick will write the script.
