The area over which a Bishop has jurisdiction. The Church of Ascension & Holy Trinity is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio. (The northern half of the state is the Diocese of Ohio.) There are now 100 dioceses in the Episcopal Church (USA).
