A physiological disturbance caused by exposure to excessive heat, resulting in rapid pulse, hot dry skin, and fever, leading to loss of consciousness.
Extremely hot, humid weather may cause heatstroke in cats if they are not kept cool and given ample water. Symptoms include elevated body temperature (110F), suffering, staggering, possible vomiting and collapse.
Excessive panting, rapid breathing; body temperature can become as high as 108°F; physical collapse; unconsciousness. Move your pet to a cool place and away from direct sunlight; fan body to provide additional cooling. Bring to your veterinarian immediately.
