Definitions for "Hydrogenated Oils"
Found in most processed foods, fast foods, margarine, shortening, etc. Similar to trans-fatty acids in its effects on the body. Both of these work to raise your levels of LDL cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol) and lower your levels of HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol).
