A housing containing a valve to regulate the airflow through the intake manifold. The throttle-body is usually located between the air cleaner and the intake plenum. Transaxle A drive setup in which the transmission gearbox, clutch, final drive, and differential are combined into a single unit connected directly to the driveshaft. It is used mostly in rear-engine cars. Track Front track is the distance between the center of the left front wheel and the center of the right front wheel when the vehicle is set to its normal ride height and wheel alignment specifications. Rear track is the distance between the center of the left rear wheel and the center of the right rear wheel. They are not always the same.
The housing of a throttle-body injection system that contains the valve.
an air intake valve (something like a carburetor) used with a fuel injection system
The throttle body is the throat through which the air passes when you step on the gas pedal. The throttle plate is a steel "flap" that lets air in. The gas pedal is connected to the throttle plate, and it opens and closes based on how far the gas pedal is pressed.
Housing containing the throttle butterfly/s which control the amount of air entering the combustion chamber. Usually has a sensor to tell the computer the % the throttle is open.
On carbretors, the casting which houses the throttle plate(s) and shaft(s) and the throttle linkage for the primary and, if equipped, the secondary bores. The throttle body is a separate compornent that's bolted to the underside of the carburetor main body. ‚R'id‚˂̈ê”Ô‰ºA“y‘ä‚ɂȂÁ‚Ä‚¢‚é•”•ªB yThrottle borezƒLƒƒƒu‚̃ƒCƒ“ƒ{ƒfƒB‚ɈêŒÂ X ''”²‚©‚ê‚1/2ŒŠB‚»‚ê‚1/4‚êƒxƒ“ƒ`ƒ…ƒŠAƒu[ƒXƒ^[ƒxƒ“ƒ`ƒ…ƒŠAƒƒCƒ“Œn‚ƃmƒYƒ‹A‰Á‘¬ŒnƒmƒYƒ‹AƒAƒCƒhƒ‹ƒ|[ƒgAƒgƒ‰ƒ“ƒXƒtƒ@ƒXƒƒbƒg“(tm)‚Å\¬‚³‚ê‚éB
In a fuel injection engine, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to driver input. While the accelerator is often called a "gas pedal", it would be more accurate to describe it as an "air pedal".
