ATM Adaptation Layer 2. Supports traffic needing precise timing, such as compressed voice and video.
AAL Type 2. Protocol standard for supporting time-dependent Variable Bit Rate (VBR-RT) of connection-oriented traffic (e.g. packetised video and audio).
ATM adaption layer 2. One of four AALs recommended by the ITU-T. AAL2 is used for connection-oriented services that support a variable bit rate, such as some isochronous video and voice traffic.
