Definitions for "Alkynes"
Highly unsaturated organic compounds containing a carbon–carbon triple bond, with general formula C, of which acetylene, or ethyne, C2H2 is the simplest member. Alkynes are emitted to the atmosphere mainly as a result of incomplete combustion.
ALKANES ARE MOLECULES, MADE OF CARBON & HYDRON ATOMS THAT HAVE THE GENERAL FORMULA, ( N ) CBN + ( 2N-2 ) HDR WHEREIN: N = THE NUMBER OF CARBON ATOMS CYCO-PROPYNE, CYCLO-PENTYNE & CYCLO-HEPTYNE ARE ALL ALKYNES
Alkynes are hydrocarbons which have a triple bond between two carbon atoms, i.e. they are unsaturated organic compounds.
