Ratio Technical Commission for Maritime Services
adio echnical ommission for aritime Services. The committee NO. 104 of the RTCM recommended a standard for exchange of data for Differential GPS service. The standard addresses both code-based and carrier-phase based positioning. The PolaRx can generate as well as interpret RTCM messages for the purpose of differential positioning. In DGPS applications, the PolaRx can generate and interpret RTCM messages 01, 03 and 16 while for RTK it requires messages 18, 19, 22 and 3. The interpretation of these RTCM messages from publicly available providers is supported if they adhere to the RTCM V2.2 or V2.3.

NMEA subcommittee 104 of the RTCM developed standard message formats for GPS signals.
Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services Commission set up to define a differential data link to relay GPS correction messages from a monitor station to a field user. RTCM SC-104 recommendations is the defacto standard for differential GPS correction transmission. It defines the correction message format and 16 different correction message types.
Radio Technical Commission For Maritime Services (Special Committee 104 - A committee created for the purposes of establishing standards and guidance for interfacing between radio beacon-based data links and GPS receivers, and to provide standards for ground-based differential GPS stations. )
Real Time Correction Measure. RTCM is a format for using Differential GPS broadcasts over radio to provide real-time correction of the error in the calculated positions. Trimble ProBeacon is the Differential GPS receiver we have.
The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM) is an international standards organization. In the United States, the Federal Communications Commission and U.S. Coast Guard use RTCM standards to specify radar systems, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons, and the basic version of Digital Selective Calling radios.
