Amygdalus communis Almond oil ( Sweet Almond Oil), is a wonderful emollient (a substance that prevents water loss from the skin). The protein content is thought to stimulate production of collagen and elastin. Almond meal is the residue remaining after the oil has been expressed. Almond meal is great to use for exfoliation. (Prunus amygdalus) â€“ Expressed from the nut, it is rich in oleic acid and other essential fatty acids, which soften skin and increase moisture â€“ they are necessary for good skin condition. It is odorless, colorless, and is very easily absorbed. It relieves dry, chapped skin, is moisturizing, and contains vitamin A and zinc, so itâ€™s a highly skin compatible oil. Very beneficial skin oil â€“ wonderful as a carrier oil or extraction oil because it is neutral.
Obtained from pressing almonds and is high in moisturizing fatty acids. Excellent emollient high in oleic, linoleic and other fatty acids, ideal in the treatment of dry skin. Soothes and moisturizes and penetrates the skin easily.
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis. Pressed from the ripe seeds (nut) of the almond tree. A versatile, carrier oil, good for all skin types. Ground almonds make for excellent natural abrasives. Moist with Sweet Almond Oil, ground almonds help replenish the oils lost from the skin during the cleansing process; being rather soft in texture, they produce a gentle massaging effect in exfoliators. Very lubricating and can relieve itching and inflammation; a wonderful, natural moisturizer for 'dishpan' hands and chapped skin.
