Refers to the maximum amount of atmospheric pressure that can be exerted in the balloon before it is unstable
In pressure transmitters and transducers, this specification is the maximum over-pressure condition that can be withstood without experiencing leakage.
The maximum pressure which may be applied to a switch without causing leakage. Permanent degradation may occur or the unit may become inoperable if burst pressure is exceeded.
The pressure point at which the tube/hose will suddenly and violently rupture.
The internal pressure that will cause piece of tubing to fail.
Maximum pressure a vessel, or air filter housing will withstand without bursting.
The internal pressure limit of tubing at which point the tube material will expand to the point of deformation or bursting.
The maximum pressure applied to a transducer sensing element or case without causing leakage.
A design test pressure that allows for permanent deformation and leakage, but parts must remain assembled (i.e. no sudden ruptures). Normal industry standard is four (4) times or 400% of maximum operating pressure. See also PROOF PRESSURE and MAXIMUM OPERATING PRESSURE.
The maximum amount of pressure that may be applied to an object without the object rupturing.
The pressure at which rupture occurs.
The maximum pressure to which the switch can be subjected without causing leakage. Permanent damage may occur to the unit if burst pressure is applied. /\ Calculated peak: Term used to describe the spectral overall RMS level multiplied by sqrt (2). Sometimes referred to as "derived peak" or "pseudo peak."
