A display device that projects images onto a display screen using a technology similar to the one used with conventional TVs.
The most common type of monitor, the image is not generated on the actual screen, it is generated behind it. These come in two types: Standard and flat screen. Standard CRTs have screens slightly curved outward, and flat screen CRTs have a flat screen, but are not to be confused with flat panels.
