Four of a Kind is an online poker hand consisting of four cards of one rank, and one unmatched card. Commonly known as a "Quad," the Four of a Kind poker hand ranks above a Full House and below a Straight Flush poker hand. Higher ranking Quads defeat lower ranking hands. Between two equal quads, which is very possible, especially in Wild Card and Community Card games, it is the Kicker card that determines the winner. Examples of Four of a Kind are: Four Tens, four Queens, four Kings and four Aces.
Four cards of the same number or face. This is still a rare hand To get. Go ahead and bet high, in order for someone to beat you They would have to have a higher 4 of a kind, straight flush, or Royal flush.
All four cards of the same index (eg. K,K,K,K). Four cards of the same value such as four jacks or four 7's represent the second strongest poker hand. This hand beats everything except a Straight Flush.
Four cards of the same value. The fifth card is called the "kicker card" and will determine who wins if two or more players should have the same hand. The winner is then the person who have the highest kicker card.
Any 4 cards of the same value. If two or more players have the same Four of a Kind, the person with the highest 5th card takes the pot. Example: King of Spades, King of Hearts, King of Clubs, King of Diamonds, Ace of Spades.
A four of a kind consists of 4 of the same cards in your hand, i.e. four 7's, four kings, etc. The fifth card in your hand is irrelevant; since it's not possible for two players to have the same 4 of a kind a high card is not needed for any 'tie-breakers'.
