A long-time member of the Crowe's Perch message board brought the term "fru" from another fan board (not Russell Crowe related); they used to post photos at this other board, and someone called it being frou-frou..as in frivolous. The term caught on, and now simply means the ability to post a photograph in a message board post, or the photo itself. "I can fru!" or "she fru'ed tha photo on another thread."
