Since January 2003 the „old Eurocard/MasterCard acceptance sign does not exist anymore. It will be replaced step by step by the new MasterCard logo. But until the end of 2005 there will be still cards which are still circulating with the old logo. Due to the embossed card number and the magnetic stripe the card can be used by paper vouchers, electronically or on a mail-order basis. The last three digitals of the card number, which is also printed in the signature stripe, are the specifically designed code for mail order transactions (CVC2 = Card Verification Code 2).
