A carrier service that permits a shipper to change the destination and/or consignee after the shipment has reached its originally billed destination and to still pay the through rate from origin to final destination.
A service offered by a carrier according to which the consignee and the destination may change, even if the ship has already reached its destination. The carrier also pays the through rate from the port of origin until the final destination has been reached.
Changing the consignee in transit. Carrier charges the shipper for this service.
1. Any change, other than a change in route, made in a consignment before the arrival of goods at their billed destination. 2. Any change made in a consignment after the arrival of goods at their billed destination. When the change is accomplished under conditions which make it subject to the reconsignment rules and charges of the carrier.

Change in destination or routing before arrival of shipment at original destination. A change made in the instructions covering a shipment in transit - may be a change in destination, route, name of consignee, name of consignor, party to notify, etc.
Any changes made in the consignment of the shipment before the accomplished delivery (e.g., an in-transit upgrade).
