The percentage or fraction of visible light transmitted by a window or skylight.
The percentage or fraction of light that is transmitted through the glazing surface.
(VT): An optical property that indicates the amount of visible light passing through a window. Most VT values range between 0.3 and 0.8.[xxiii] The higher the VT the more light transmitted. For maximizing daylight and view, select window glazing with a VT of 0.50 or higher.
