Definitions for "CHILL ROLL"
A cored roll, usually temperature controlled with circulating water, which cools a molten polymer web on contact before winding.
Metal roll or drum cooled with water or other means. Used to cool the web after it has been subjected to drying or curing processes.
Metal roll or drum cooled internally with water, etc. Often used after the press dryer to cool the printed web prior to die cutting, rewinding, etc.
