plant-derived Laureth-3 is derived from lauryl alcohol, a constituent of coconut oil. It is used as a dispersant in our bath oils to allow them to mix well with water. Without it, the oils would simply sit on the water’s surface.
It is the polyethylene glycol ether of Lauryl Alcohol, principal alcohol of coconut oil. It's used as a skin smoothener and softener (emollient) and thickening agent (emulsifier).
