Legislative Budget Request - a formal document that state agencies produce which contains their respective funding requests for the upcoming fiscal year. The LBR is transmitted to the Governor and the Legislature. The Governor reviews each agencies' requests and then submits recommendations to the Legislature. Prior to and during the legislative session agencies' requests are further reviewed, debated, and finally, budgets are approved for the upcoming fiscal year.

Laser Beam Recorder used in glass mastering CD and DVD discs. A glass master disc, covered with a thin photo-resist coating is exposed by the laser in a laser beam recorder where pits will be formed in the final discs. The photo-resist is then developed and metallised with Nickel. Stampers used in the molding of CD s and DVD s are then electroformed from the metallised glass master, which can then be recycled and re-used.

The .LBR file format was an old type of archive file format used on MS-DOS and CP/M operating systems during the early 1980s. .LBR files were created by the LU program. LBR is an abbreviation of "Library", and the LU program simply stored files in the LBR file, the files were not compressed. As transfer of LBR files by modem was common, it was typical practice for files which were to be stored in an LBR archive to either compress them using the SQ program then store them in an LBR archive, or store the files in the archive, then use SQ to compress the archive.
