Office of the Deputy Prime Minister - The former Department for the Environment, Transport and the Regions was split to set the Transport function apart. The remaining functionality was divided up with most of the responsibility going to the Deputy Primer Minister although some went to other organisations such as the office of the Lord Chancellor.
