Definitions for "Routing domain"
A set of routers exchanging routing information within an administrative domain. See also: Administrative Domain, router.
Group of end systems and intermediate systems operating under the same set of administrative rules. Within each routing domain is one or more areas, each uniquely identified by an area address.
In OSI, a set of ESs and ISs that share routing information, operate according to the same routing protocol, and are contained within a single administrative domain.
