Smartcard is a utility for controlling smart cards. It can read and write memory cards using the standard input and output channels. This should make it useful for all kinds of automated tasks.
A plastic card incorporating a silicon chip. A smartcard is programmed with its user's contact details, including telephone number. It can be used in any compatible terminal to route calls to a particular number.
Piece of plastic (the size of a creditcard) with a computerchip on it that holds data. Commonly used for pay-TV, ATM's, ID's etc.
plastic card with an embedded chip containing applications e.g. digital identification
n. a card conforming to ISO specification 7810 and 7816 which one or more integrated circuits with contacts allowing interface to external equipment
A hardware token that incorporates one or more integrated circuit (IC) chips to implement cryptographic functions and that possesses some inherent resistance to tampering.
A plastic card (like a credit card) with an embedded integrated circuit for storing information. One use is as a form of token in banking systems; electronic money is stored on the card. The idea is that one smartcard is easier to carry around than a multitude of paper tokens or tickets.
a credit card- sized key with an embedded microchip, which allows subscribers to view encrypted programming
a credit card-sized plastic card in which a microprocessor chip is embedded
an electronic badge that includes a magnetic strip or chip that can record and replay a set key
a piece of plastic with an embedded silicon chip that tracks where the card is going from use to use
a plastic card containing a small chip that includes a microprocessor and memory
a plastic card embedded with a computer microchip which allows for different bank services to be accessed from one card
a plastic card, typically credit card-sized, that contains embedded processing and memory chips, which can be used to store personal information
a plastic card with a built-in computer chip
a programmable storage device the same in size and appearance as a normal credit card
a removable credit card-sized electronic purse with stored value (similar to subway farecards) which can be periodically replenished when the balance is low
Credit card-sized device implanted with either computer memory chips or computer processors.
A plastic card equipping with a processor and EEPROM about 64K, it is similar like a credit card but difficult to reproduce by a function of cryptograph and preservation.
A credit card with a built in microchip containing software.
A plastic card with an integrated circuit embedded in it. It includes a magnetic chip that can record and replay a set key.
a plastic card with a built-in micro-processor; used for electronic processes such as financial transactions and personal identification.
Also called chip card. These cards are plastic cards with an integrated processor chip. They are able to permanently or temporarily store or process information. The mostly used smart card is the money card (also see “Wallet”).
A smart card is a plastic card about the size of a credit card, with an embedded microchip that can be loaded with data, used for telephone calling, electronic cash payments, and other applications, and then periodically refreshed for additional use. See Smartcard FAQ.
A card, not much bigger than a credit card, that contains a computer chip and is used to store or process information.
