A transversal plane separates the front from the back. See also: Sagittal.
A straight line that crosses two or more given lines
A line that intersects two other lines.
extending or lying across; in a crosswise direction; at right angles to the long axis; "cross members should be all steel"; "from the transverse hall the stairway ascends gracefully"; "transversal vibrations"; "transverse colon"
a line that crosses two parallel lines
a line that cuts through two parallel lines
Any line that intersects another line or collection of lines.
a line crossing two or more parallel or nonparallel lines in a plane.
a line that intersects 2 or more other lines in the same plane.
A line that crosses/intersects two or more lines.
A line which intersects two or more other lines.
A line that intersects two or more lines at different points.
A line intersecting two or more other coplanar lines (Lesson 4.2).
Transversal is a geometry term. If you are given two or more lines in the plane, a transversal is a line distinct from the original lines and intersects each of the given lines in a single point. This type of line intersects two or more other lines.
