Low Voltage Differential (device), more information ...
A type of SCSI signaling that allows a maximum transfer rate of either 80 MB/s or 160 MB/s, conforming to either the Wide Ultra2 or Wide Ultra160 SCSI standards respectively.
Low Voltage Differential. Introduced with Ultra2 SCSI, and further enhanced with Ultra160 and Ultra320 SCSI, LVD technology enables data transfer to 320 MByte/sec and supports cable lengths to 12 meters.
The common slang form for "Ultra2 Wide SCSI (LVD)." LVD refers to the Low Voltage Differential interface used in Ultra2 and Ultra3 SCSI.
Low Voltage Differential. A type of differential signaling that uses lower voltage than does HVD, is less expensive, and can be compatible with single-ended signaling on the same SCSI bus.
Low Voltage Differential. See Ultra 2 SCSI.
Low Voltage Differential. A differential logic scheme using lower voltage levels than HVD.
Low Voltage Disconnect. A device (often built-into a charge controller) that disconnects all loads from the batteries when battery voltage drops below a setpoint ( typically around 11 volts for a 12 volt nominal system) to prevent over-discharge of the batteries.
Low Voltage Disconnect. A module in the Intergy power system that disconnects the load from the batteries from the when the battery voltage falls below a preset value. The LVD reconnects the load to the batteries when the battery voltage rises above a preset value.| | Management Information Base (MIB) The structure of the database in an Intergy power system.
Low Voltage Differential. A robust design methodology that improves power consumption, data integrity, cable lengths, and support for multiple devices while providing a migration path for increased I/O performance.
Low Voltage Differential. A method of driving SCSI cables. LVD uses less power than High voltage Differential (HVD), is less expensive, and allows the higher speeds of Ultra2 SCSI. LVD requires 3.3 Volts DC instead of the 5 Volts DC needed for HVD.
Low Voltage Disconnect. A battery protection function usually incorporated within the PV charge controller or regulator whereby any DC loads will be disconnected from a battery if the battery voltage falls below a given set point.
