REPORTABLE FRINGE BENEFITS. From 1 April 1999, employers are required to keep records of the fringe benefits provided to each employee. Where an employee receives fringe benefits with a total taxable value of more than $1000 in a Fringe Benefits Tax year, employers must record the grossed-up taxable value of those benefits on the employee's payment summary (group certificate). These are known as reportable fringe benefits.
