A list of all species of organisms in a particular area at a particular time, usually limited to one group (e.g. herbivores, trees). It does not include relative abundance of each species.

Is the relative distribution of the amount (#'s, BA, vol., etc.) of the various species present. Used as an indicator of the stands suitability as deer winter habitat or various silvicultural techniques.
