A drag free drift of the fly either dry or wet.
The act of getting oneâ€(tm)s fly to float down a current lane with no pulling effect of the line and leader. The artificial should float exactly like the natural: not too fast or slow and not pulling across current lines.
a perfect float (the fly is traveling at the same pace as the current); used in both dry fly and nymph fishing (see mending line and "S" cast).
A method of fly fishing a current. The fly line and fly all drift together in a straight line, allowing the fly to drift drag-free.
