Network Layer Security Protocol.
NetWare Link Service Protocol. An Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) link state used by IPX routers to share their routing information with other devices on a network. NLSP replaces the Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and the Service Advertising Protocol (SAP). NLSP provides better performance, scalability, reliability, and management of network traffic than the router RIP or SAP.
See NetWare Link Service Protocol (NLSP).
NetWare Link Services Protocol. Link-state routing protocol based on IS-IS. See also IS-IS. NMS Network Management System. System responsible for managing at least part of a network. An NMS is generally a reasonably powerful and well-equipped computer such as an engineering workstation. NMSs communicate with agents to help keep track of network statistics and resources.
NetWare Link Services Protocol. A link state routing protocol developed by Novell and used on IPX internetworks.
NetWare Link-State Protocol. Link-state routing protocol developed by Novell for handling IPX traffic in large internetworks.
NetWare Link Services Protocol. Link-state routing protocol based on IS-IS. The Cisco implementation of NLSP also includes MIB variables and tools to redistribute routing and SAP information between NLSP and other IPX routing protocols. See also IS-IS.
A link-state protocol that offers low network overhead and fast convergence.
