Clamp with one fixed jaw and one sliding and tightening jaw
Clamping device that bolts around a pipe for attachment of chain or cable hangers.
Designed for spanning wide work, it has a metal pipe with screw clamps and an adjustable stop mounted on the pipe. The clamping mechanism is positioned long the length of the bar to fit the appropriate size of the work with the length of the bar. Fine adjustments and clamping pressures are made by the screw threads on the clamp, which is also called a bar clamp.
A pipe clamp is a clamp with a long grip which generally uses an ordinary steel pipe to achieve its length. By using a longer pipe, the clamp can be made arbitrarily large. A pipe clamp should not be confused with a hose clamp which is a belt-like clamp which wraps around a hose or pipe.
