Any coordinate frame whose origin is relative to the Earth's center of mass.
with reference to, or pertaining to, the centre of the Earth.
having the earth as the center
Viewed from the Earth, as if Earth were the center of the Universe. Since a person on Earth sees the Cosmos from an earthly perspective, the birth chart is drawn with that vantage point. We see the sky (and everything else) relative to ourselves- each of us is the center of our own personal Universe.
having the Earth as the centre
Sometimes called the Ptolemaic theory, it was commonly believed before Copernicus that the Earth was the center of the universe, and that the sun, moon, planets, and stars all revolved around the Earth.
Geocentric means viewed from the centre of the earth. The Geocentric co-ordinate system is the most commonly used system in astrology.
Geocentric acts as though the planets revolve around the earth. Since we are on the earth, this seems like a reasonable way to figure out how the planets would affect us here. This is the form of astrology that we use.
With reference to earth's centre
With the Earth as its center. Most astrology is geocentric.
(universe): model of the universe with the Earth at the center and all other objects moving around it.
The Earth as the centre of observation and influence. Astrological aspects are geocentric, as they relate to the Earth. See Heliocentric.
