isoTope is a PHP Web application framework that is powered by the Atom syndication, archive, and publishing format. It is a modular extensible system that allows multiple Atom-powered services. It implements a simple blogging system, but could also support Atom-enabled front-ends for email, discussion forums, mailing lists, Usenet, or content management systems for Web sites.
Isotopes are atoms of the same element, differing by the number of neutrons. For example naturally occuring chlorine has two stable isotopes Cl-35 and Cl-37. The nucleus of Cl-35 has 17 protons and 18 neutrons, whereas the nucleus of Cl-37 has 17 protons and 20 neutrons.
