Definitions for "MDP"
Multi-disciplinary partnership. A combination firm offering a full range of professional services, particularly law and accountancy functions. Once considered the way forward, the concept has taken a knock post-Enron.
(Multi-disciplinary Partnership) A partnership made up of both lawyers and other professionals, normally accountants. These partnerships are subject to restrictions because there are concerns that lawyers may not be able to give advice independently of their colleagues. A conflict of interest may arise, for example, if audit advice is given by the same firm.
Markov decision process. A probabilistic model of a sequential decision problem, where states can be perceived exactly, and the current state and action selected determine a probability distribution on future states. Essentially, the outcome of applying an action to a state depends only on the current action and state (and not on preceding actions or states).
Management Development Programs
Municipal Development Plan. The senior strategic planning document guiding growth and development in Calgary. It has policies relating to transportation, housing, economic activity, recreation, environment and social issues. It also provides the strategic framework for more detailed and specific plan, policies and programs.

Ministry of Defence Police. The MDP is responsible for providing effective policing of the Defence Estate.
