Paid Bereavement Leave up to three days is provided employees in regular positions upon the death of a spouse, child, parent, grandparent, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in- law, or daughter-in-law. When recording Bereavement Leave in the Time Reporting System, use the pay code BRV.
A small amount of paid leave included in some awards and agreements that allows an employee to take time off work on the occasion of the death of their spouse, defacto partner or a close relative.
