Software used to design and test parts, machinery, generate schematics, calculate manufacturing specifications and etc.
The use of computers in the design and drafting processes, and subsequently to drive numerically-controlled manufacturing machinery.
Hardware and/or software used as an aid in the design process and computerized control of manufacturing.
A concatenation of the terms CAD and CAM. CAD/CAM systems are computer-aided design/manufacturing methods that translate circuit designs into actual products.
A level of production where both design and production are done with the aid of computers. Usually the intergration of both CAD and CAM systems into the production environment offer a high level of efficiency.
Applications and related computer hardware used develop designs and control manufacturing processes. Includes drafting, 3-D rendering, control processes, and related applications.
The term CAD/CAM implies that an engineer can use the computer system (includes not only the computer, but also any software and devices that are necessary to make the computer function) both for designing a product and for controlling the machines that construct the parts.
computer-aided design/manufacture.
Acronym for Computer Assisted Design/Computer Assisted Manufacture.
CAD is an acronym for the "computer-aided design" software used in art, architecture, engineering, and manufacturing to assist in precision drawing. CAM stands for computer-assisted manufacturing. At Taylor, both come into play in a big way. We use CAD, and specifically 3D geometry graphic software, to design just about everything we need, including the guitars. All computer-numerically-controlled (CNC) Fadal fixtures, shaper jigs, side benders, body molds, inlay patterns, and every part of the guitar (especially the neck and neck pocket) are drawn in the computer using some type of 3D graphics program.
omputer- ided esign: The use of computers to create high-resolution graphics to design which allows for quick evaluation and modification. omputer- ided anufacturing: The use of computers to translate designs into actual products.
Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing.
Computer Assisted Design/Computer Assisted Makeup or Manufacturing.
Computer Aided Desing/Computer Aided Manufacturing. (Design Attended by Computadora/Fabricación Attended by Computer. NBC: Constant Bit Rate (Rate of Constant Bit) One of the five classes on watch of ATM , which supports the transmission of a DC of information bits where the traffic, as voice and video, need certain requirements QoS .
We'd all like to think that our trade show exhibit designs are the result of some Wonka-like factory, where magic flows from every corner. But, in all reality, our awesome designs are brought to life with CAD/CAM of computer-aided design/manufacturing. Ok, we do throw in a bit of magic here and there. Perhaps a little fairy dust
