Definitions for "DPD"
The indicator usually used in tablet form which measures chlorine and bromine levels in pool and spa water. DPD is an abbreviation for Diethyl-p-Phenylene Diamine. DPD1 tablets are used for measuring free chlorine. DPD3 tablets are for total chlorine. See also Bleaching Out.
A reagent and test method that specifically measures bromine or free available and total chlorine; produces a series of colors from pale pink to dark red.
