Definitions for "Program Officer"
The member of the grantor staff assigned to monitor the programmatic (and possibly the fiscal) aspects of your project. This person can also be called a contract officer. The program officer may be the staff person of a foundation or government office who is the designated contact person during the proposal process.
The NEH division staff member designated in the section of the grant award entitled "Endowment Administration of the Award."
