A fuel-injection system that injects gasoline into a spark-ignition engine that includes an electronic control to time and meter the fuel flow.
Electronic Fuel Injection. Unlike carbuerators that rely on gravity and suction to draw fuel into the cylinders, EFI sprays the fuel mixture directly into each cylinder. This makes a big difference when operating on a steep incline.

Extensible Firmware Interface. Defines a model for the interface between operating systems and Itanium-based platform firmware. The interface consists of data tables that contain platform-related information, plus boot and run-time service calls that are available to the operating system and its loader. Together, these provide a standard environment for booting an operating system and running preboot applications.

EFI includes information about fish life history and habitat requirements and any other information related to the biology of a fish species, the status and trends of fish populations, fishing effort and catch levels, and fishery effects on fish age structure and on other marine living resources and users.
