A PvP gaming term that means to kill another player's character. Other usage: gankage (noun)--the process of ganking. ex. "The last point I want to make clear is that no matter what, random gankage is not going to be a feature of the game."
The PvP act of attacking someone while they are arriving out of a portal.
To be killed unfairly, either as one was unprepared, or because the combat was hopelessly uneven. Ganking is an act which is disapproved of by the online community of gamers. See also Jump.
To kill without a challenge. Usually a group or two of players will "gank" a single player.
(verb) To ruin, or break. "I ganked my derailleur when that stick flew into it and I kept pedaling."
Verb. To be ganked is a term referring to one player being overwhelmed and killed by a large group. Can be either by a group of other players doing player-kill or a group of NPC monsters. Used in a sentence, "I got ganked yesterday in Fel." Typically has the connotation that the other people had an unfair advantage (in number or level).
A PvP fight were one side is seriously outnumbered, and have no chance of victory. Often just one character being attacked by four or five others.
To catch someone off guard and kill or kill steal them.
Killing characters of much lower strength, for the sole purpose of causing them damage.
Player vs. Player: To attack another player while they're trying to fight a monster.
To kill another player in PvP. Often times implies an unfair fight.
One player killing another player for no real reason. Generally considered a derogatory word. "That high level jerk is ganking all the newbs for no reason!"
