Repository, which holds the basic information of all items and parties in all data pools and the location of each item's home data pool.
A registry is a global directory for the registration of items and parties. It can only contain data certified GCI compliant. It enables compliant data pools to exchange information, acting as a pointer to the data pools where master data has been originally and physically stored.
A Project Builder registry that stores information common to an entire Forms Developer or Reports Developer installation. This information is restricted to type definitions and their associated actions and pre-defined or user-defined properties. The use of the Global Registry is optional; its functions can be performed by individual user registries. See also: registry, user registry.
