A single unit on the SCSI bus, identifiable by a unique SCSI address. A SCSI device can act as an initiator or target. For SCSI-3, each SCSI device supports up to sixteen LUNs.
A device such as a host adapter board, fixed disk drive or CD-ROM drive that conforms to the SCSI interface standard and is attached to a SCSI bus cable.
Any device conforming to the SCSI standard that attaches to the SCSI bus by means of a SCSI cable. This includes SCSI host bus adapters and SCSI peripherals.
