The area to the rear, or heels, of a rider
A halfpipe term for any rotation in which the snowboarder is positioned blind for the takeoff or landing (can't see straight ahead) and must look over the shoulder. This increases the difficulty of a trick.
A term given to any rotation where the snowboarder has oriented themselves "blind" to their takeoff or landing and must stretch to look over their shoulder. Such a technique usually increases the difficulty. (e.g. A backside alley oop air in the halfpipe is often harder than a frontside alley oop air because it is blindside).
A clockwise rotation for regular riders and a counterclockwise rotation for goofy riders. It's called blindside because it's harder to see from that direction.
Any rotation in which the snowboarder has oriented himself "blind" to his takeoff or landing and must stretch to look over his shoulder.
