To cut off as the top or extreme part of anything; to shorten by cutting off the extremities; to cut off, or remove, as superfluous parts; as, to lop a tree or its branches.
Letter of Permission. A document which gives you permission to take a course at an institution other than the university in which you are currently enrolled. (See "The Importance of a Letter of Permission".)
