Viscous paste formed by mixing PVC resin with a plasticizer; applied by dipping, coating, spraying, etc.
Suspension of a thermosetting plastic which can be moulded into any desired shape. Used as a combination end cap and gasket on element.
Mixtures of plasticizers and resins which can be converted to continuous films by applying heat.
Vinyl plastisols are dispersions of fine particle size polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins in plasticizing liquids. In addition to the reins and plasticizers, heat and light stabilizers, color pigments, flame retardants, blowing agents, or many other additives can be included as determined by the intended product. Plastisols are liquid at room temperature. Depending on the compound, they can be pumped, sprayed, or cast. Once applied plastisols are fused with heat in relatively thick sections without concern for solvent or water blistering; they are commonly referred to as 100% solids material. As a plastisol is heater, fusion takes place and is converted into a tough, homogenous mass with excellent abrasion, aging, corrosion, and electrical resistance. These compounds can range in hardness from an 8 Durometer, Shore A, fishing lure plastisol, which is mostly plasticizers, to a 65 Durometer, Shore D, rotocasting plastisol which is mostly PVC resin.
a dispersion of resin (or resins) in a liquid plasticiser
a fluid or a paste consisting of a mixture of polyvinyl chloride and a plasticiser optionally containing various additives
A family of inks popularly used by screenprinters. The inks contain a plasticizer, such as polyvinyl chloride.
(extended definition) Modified PVC or PMA dispersion which requires heat to harden. The resultant joints are often resilient and tough.
Made from a special kind of vinyl resin which is suspended in plasticizer and stabilizer to make it pourable as a liquid for coating purposes.
A liquid mixture of resins and plasticizers solidified by the application of heat.
Viscous paste formed by mixing PVC resin with a plasticizer; applied by di^pping, coating, spaying, etc.
Film former containing resin and plasticizers with no solvents.
A colloidal dispersion (suspension) of a resin in a plasticizer without a solvent.
