A chart that depicts process steps in chronological order to help identify problems that contribute to waste and defects. Also called flowchart. (See also basic flowchart, deployment flowchart, detailed flowchart, opportunity flowchart, and top-down flowchart)
A visual representation of the sequential flow of a process. Used as a tool in problem solving, this technique makes opportunities for improvement apparent.
a flow diagram of the primary processes within an organization
a graphical picture of the actual workflow through a
a hierarchical graphical representation of how the user interacts with the website or other interactive media project
a method for visually depicting the steps that make up a task or process
an adaptation of the Flow Diagram to document a process where steps are aligned by role (or department)
a useful tool to literally map out the action steps you take when planning and implementing a meeting
a visual aid for picturing work processes and shows how inputs, outputs, and tasks are linked
a visual aid or a diagrammatic presentation of the work process, which shows how inputs, outputs and tasks are linked
a visual tool used to illustrate your core processes
A method of graphically describing a process using flowchart symbols.
The visual representation of the process that is handled by a PAE application.
Generally, a process map is a representation of workflow showing at least the expected sequence(s) in which processes are executed to complete and deliver a product or service.
Mapping the sequence of processes and activities within processes to understand how work is performed and where time and resources are spent - i.e. ìAs-Is Analysisî.
A visual representation of the workflow either within a process - or an image of the whole operation. One differentiates between "30,000 feet overviews", "Medium image" or "homing in", "zooming in", "Micro Map" &c. A good Process Map should allow people unfamiliar with the process to understand the interaction of causes during the workflow. A good Process Map should contain additional information relating to the Six Sigma project i.e. information per critical step about input and output variables, time, cost, DPU value. A program for creation of Process Maps is Microsoft Visio.
a diagram depicting a process, to include activities, inputs, and outputs
A workflow diagram that uses an x-axis for process time and y-axis which shows participants and tasks.
