In Bandura's theory, the person's belief that he or she can achieve certain goals.
Students' judgment of their own capabilities for a specific learning outcome.
the belief that one can master a situation and produce positive outcomes; influences whether people even try to develop healthy habits, how much effort they expend in coping with stress, how long they persist in the force of obstacles, and how much they stress over experiences
A person's belief that he or she is capable of the specific behavior required to produce a desired outcome in a given situation.
A person's belief that she or he can achieve a desired outcome.
The belief in one's own capacity to perform the actions needed to control events affecting one's well being and the ability to successfully execute the appropriate required behaviours.
The belief that one has the capabilities to execute the courses of actions required to manage prospective situations. Unlike efficacy, which is the power to produce an effect (in essence, competence), self-efficacy is the belief (however accurate) that one has the power to produce that effect. It is important here to understand the distinction between self esteem and self efficacy. Self esteem relates to a personâ€(tm)s sense of self-worth, whereas self efficacy relates to a personâ€(tm)s perception of their ability to reach a goal. For example, say a person is a terrible rock climber. They would likely have a poor efficacy in regard to rock climbing, but this wouldnâ€(tm)t need to affect their self-esteem; most people donâ€(tm)t invest much of their self esteem in this activity.
a belief in personal responsibility for one's own behaviour and in one's ability to influence events.
your belief that you are capable of handling the situation; self-esteem
Self-efficacy is the belief that one has the capabilities to execute the courses of actions required to manage prospective situations. Unlike efficacy, which is the power to produce an effect (in essence, competence), self-efficacy is the belief (whether or not accurate) that one has the power to produce that effect.
