Media Gateway Controller. An MGC is the overall controller function of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) gateway. It receives and mediates call-signaling information between the PacketCable(tm) and the PSTN domains, and it maintains and controls the overall call state for all calls.
Media Gateway Controller. Generic term used for the Cisco MGC when both Signalling Controller (SC2200) and Virtual Switch Controller (VSC3000) applications apply. This term is used instead of the older term Telephony Controller in NSSU products.
Media gateway controller. Another term for a call agent.
Most Growable Customers. Those customers for whom the Strategic Value, that is the potential value of the customer, most exceeds the customer's current Actual Value. These are the customers who have the most growth potential -- growth that can be realized through cross selling; through keeping the customer for a longer period; or perhaps by changing a customer's behavior and getting them to operate in a way that costs the enterprise less money. Most Growable Customers are also known as second-tier customers (STCs).
